Back in my early 20s, I decided to try teaching. It felt like having a front-row seat to incredible moments of learning as I guided young minds through the maze of knowledge. The classroom quickly became my stage, where every lesson was a chance to spark curiosity and ignite understanding.

I didn’t stop there. I also took on the challenge of creating curriculum and leading sports teams. I discovered a superpower I didn’t know I had. I could develop something from nothing and map out the way forward. Coaching cross country, basketball, and track & field was more than tactics; it was about building a tribe, fostering camaraderie, enhancing communication, and navigating team dynamics. Problem-solving became the playbook to victory and a playbook for life.

Family & Organizational Leadership

Family life added a new dimension to my skills in leadership and problem-solving. Being a husband and father taught me that every challenge was an opportunity to weave love, patience, forgiveness, and understanding into our lives. It was about building a solid foundation of purpose, discipline, listening, trial and error, and support. As I matured in my gifts, skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities, I took charge of various initiatives, projects, and teams. I thrived in collaboration, brainstorming, and orchestrating the collective genius of a group towards a common goal. Leadership wasn’t just about delegating tasks; it was about creating a symphony of talents.

Faith, Spiritual Leadership & Entrepreneurship

I also embraced my spiritual side. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I became a spiritual leader, guiding others on their faith journey. For me it’s not about rituals and practices, but about having a relationship with the creator, the king, and the sacrificial lamb who desires a relationship with His creation. I couldn’t resist the call of entrepreneurship. I dove into the business world as the owner of a design agency, navigating the complexities of market, brand, and employee dynamics. Problem-solving here wasn’t just about the bottom line; it was about steering the ship with vision and adaptability.

Digital & Creative Problem Solving

My career began in the digital realm as a graphic and web designer. Pixels, design tools, and front-end interfaces were my playground. Every project was a chance to bring masterpieces to life. Problem-solving was about transforming creative ideas into tangible results.

Then came my fascination with research and facilitation. It was like being in a playground filled with information waiting to be unraveled. Understanding people and their behaviors became an exhilarating adventure. Problem-solving helped individuals and groups navigate challenges and outcomes, unlocking the potential inside.

When the spotlight turned to me as a speaker, I found a new way to motivate and inspire. Words became my paintbrush, creating pictures of possibility and empowerment. It wasn’t just about talking; it was about forging a connection that sparked change because I had lived it personally and intimately.
